What chuchote is

chuchote.ca is a buying guide and comparison site for adults, dedicated to intimate wellness products sold in Canada. Our work rests on four commitments: verifiable data, limits stated plainly, real independence from brands, and respect for the reader.

This site is not a store. We sell nothing, we hold no inventory, and purchases are always made through merchants and manufacturers.

Independence and affiliation

The site may earn a commission when you buy through some of our links, once affiliate programs are active. This compensation never buys a spot in a ranking, a more flattering listing or silence about a limitation. Rankings stay editorial, full stop.

At present, outbound links point to manufacturers’ official pages, with no active affiliation. This page will be updated as partnerships are added. When a product has a better alternative, we say so, even if the alternative pays less.

Our ranking criteria

Our comparisons rely on verifiable criteria, displayed at the top of every ranking:

• Body-safe materials (quality silicone, no phthalates when the manufacturer documents it)
• Ease of care and cleaning
• Noise level, when the manufacturer publishes it, because discretion is a real buying criterion
• Learning curve: a demanding product is not a bad product, but you should know before
• Typical availability in Canada and warranty coverage
• Consistency of public reviews, with their source identified

We make no claim to laboratory testing. Our scores are editorial benchmarks built from verifiable data, not scientific measurements. How they are calculated is explained in our methodology: /en/methodology/

How our listings are produced

Our listings are built from a database of specifications extracted from manufacturers’ official sites, then written and validated under strict editorial rules: no invented specifications, no statistics without a source, no promise of results. Information that is absent from the manufacturer is absent from the listing. Each listing shows its last-updated date and is regenerated when the source data changes.

Our writing rules

• Exact anatomical vocabulary, without awkward euphemism or vulgarity
• A neutral, advisory tone, never forced familiarity
• No promise of pleasure: pleasure is not a specification
• A product’s limitations written with the same care as its strengths
• Sponsored content, if any, identified as such at the top of the article and excluded from comparisons and guides

Corrections

A factual error, a mislabeled material, a recalled product, availability that has changed: write to bonjour@chuchote.ca. We verify at the source and correct the listing or ranking concerned. Substantive corrections are dated on the corrected page.
